2 In the foreground is a rusty ion
captan, which you may be sure
delighted me, and suddenly re-
moved me of the incredible ele-
gance of machinery by Van Gogh.
When I go home, or rather to the
top of Chick Hill I stopped to pick
raspberries as directed by Mrs. Hale
there were not many--only 1 1.2 hour
but with some red currants (1/2 lb)
she had given me I made 3 lbs
of jam or nearly which will be
a nice "bonbouche" for the winter.
Tiny always laughs at me and
says I always make jam at night
and I'm afraid its true it was
11 o'clock when I'd finished--but
everything else was in order so I
went straight to bed and was
not over-tired.
Mrs. Hake went to Worthing
by coach with her great-nephew!
( I met her this morning it seems
