Dearest Sylvia,
I went to Wally's party last night - it was really very pleasant. I did not leave early enough to return home so I stayed the night until my parents - oh, the bed which I used to sleep in is so hard after our 'marshmallow' one which I look forward to sleeping in tonight. Iris was there - looking rather thin, I thought. We are going to have lunch together this week one day.
