My rose alive in the cause of culture I located as perfectly as I could from memory, Gratens view point of the cathedral and then crossed the river and entered the cathedral itself. I spent about an hour and a half there and came away,only then, reluctantly. I think that the heaviness of the Romanesque has been exaggerated, just as the verticolity has been caricatured.
